That flew by! Can´t believe its already Saturday. Where do the days go?
Anyway, it was a pretty awesome week. Monday and Tuesday were kind of slow and normal here in the office. But on Wednesday we got up real early and hit up Chimbote. We got there at around 9:30am and at 10 we were already doing interviews. We had one of the biggest zones, 20 missionaries to do that day. It went really well, the missionaries continue get me so excited about the work. The Perú Trujillo Sur mission has some of the best missionaries in all the world. Seriously the coolest. Anyway interviews went well. We got done at about 8:30pm ate dinner and then crashed with some zone leaders for the night. Then the next day we were interviewing at 8am. We did two zones on Thursday, one of 14 missionaries and the other of 16. It was pretty wild. I was kind of tired, but the Lord really did strengthen my companion and i because we were able to help a lot of missionaries with questions and things and the interviews went really well. We didn´t finish till about 9pm again, so another late night, but it was all right. Its all part of the work. Then on Friday we had another meeting, this time with new missionaries and their trainers. We started at 10am, which was a little better. It was my favorite meeting that we have done in a while. We split up the trainers and the new guys and my companion and i started with the new missionaries, and we asked some questions and just got to talking. It was awesome to see how well most of these guys are so prepared. I think a lot of them were more prepared than i was when i got to the mission. I felt a great spirit being with them, and i really liked getting the chance to share with them some of the things that i have learned. Then we changed and were with the trainers. It was also really awesome. These missionaries are working so hard to help the new missionaires out, i love it. They have such grat spirits and desires to do all that the Lord would have them do. I was able to thank them for their service and i loved to be with them. After wards the meeting ended and we were supposed to have a KFC lunch for everyone, but it got their almost an hour late. President Rios was pretty frustrated that it got there so late. He complained to the restaurant, but i think for the most part the missionaries enjoyed the lunch, i know i did. Then we had to catch another bus back to Trujillo and had to do some final things. That brings us to today. Today has been great. Got a haircut and we were able to clean the room adn then we had some really good pizza at pizza hut. To be honest i didnt take any photos this week until i got to pizza hut, so i hope you enjoy these photos.
Anyway, things are going great. We still have to do two zones of interviews and we have Christmas in the mission coming up, so some great things that im really excited for.
I know that this is the work of the Lord. He is doing all HE can to bring His children back to Him and to help them be happy and live in peace. I am so honored to have a front row seat in this His and the most important work on Earth. I love it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church that God truly leads on the earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God to us in our days. I know that the Book of Mormon is the pure and true word of God and that any man will closer to Him by following its precepts than by any other book. Read, think, and ask the Father.
Love you guys!
