Week 70: El Carmen, July 20, 2015

Bueno este semana ha sido muy muy genial. He podido conocer mas a los miembros y a los investigadores que tenemos aqui y en verdad me encanta.

Just had to work to change how my brain was working, my companion is named Elder Tirado, and he is from Lima. He is a really great guy. Works hard, and is super excited to be a missionary, and we have had a great week. Im back to a ward. I started my mission in a nice homey branch, moved to a bigger ward, then went back to a homey branch, and im now back in a big ward, with lots of people, and tons of potential. Interesting thing, last year Elder Anderson of the 12, came to the mission, and i was in Huarmey, my first area, the southern most part of the mission, so we had to travel and spend the night outside of area, to get to the meeting on time, and so we did that, and well long story short i spent the night in the room where i now live as a full time misisonary, kinda funny, but also awesome.
Anyway, it really has been a great week, lots of new people to meet and lots of different challenges. The zone is bigger, so more responsabilities, and now we work with a stake president as well. But, im excited to be here, and things are going really well so far.
This week we met a few new people, and a couple of the sisters we have met, and started to teach, we have done something alitte different, we jumped right in teaching and focussing on the Book of Mormon, and we have felt a different spirit. Its been really awesome. A powerful spirit that helped the sisters really get excited to and commit to read. As they have read, even though just tiny bits, they have felt something special. They just need to do the necessary prayers and come to church, as they do so the Lord will enter their lives, and let them know the truth of all these things.
I promise you all that it can and will be the exact same in your lives. No matter who you are, read the Book of Mormon, and pray about it. You will see and feel a new light in your life, you will see and feel the Lord closer, and things will just seem to be better.
Thank you all for your love and support. I love the Lord, i love the misison and i love Peru, especially Chimbote, Viru, Trujillo and Huarmey!
Con mucho amor y cariño,
Elder Gibson
