Week 41: Christmas in Trujillo. December 29, 2014

Was awesome! We had a wonderful week. We had a ward christmas party ad talent show on Tuesday for which we did a little skit, and had quite a few investigators show up. On Wednesday, the Eve of Christmas we had a zone dinner of breakfast and turkey. We had a gift exchange with the other elders and sisters, it was super fun! I got a wonderful package from my amazing mother, filled with everything i ever wanted. And lots of candy! Then that night, as tradition goes, at 12am we heard tons of loud fireworks and were woken up. Then in the morning we had a great multi zone talent show and devotional with the president. There were some very very hilarious skits done by other zones. Then we went around and were able to wish merry christmas to other families and hand out some Paneton! Then i was able to talk to my family. It was number one! They are all doing very fine, and having a good time at home. I loved to be able to talk to them and tell em how it is here in Trujillo. We had a wonderful week.

On Saturday we had a baptism in the ward, a wonderful sister that the sister missionaries had been teaching. Her husband is a member that is coming back to the church, and the same missionary who baptised her husband was able to baptise her. It was a really cool service, and they are a really cute family.
Tomorrow i go to a new area called Viru, well a new zone, i think my area is Viru Puente, which is Viru Bridge for those who dont understand spanish. New challenges, new assignment, new people, but im pumped to star 2015 and this new area off right!
Thank you all for your love and support! May God be with you, and keep up the great work! Read the Book of Mormon!
Love you all,
Elder Gibson
These are some pics posted by the Mission President’s wife,  Sister Marler on her blog. These are the Trujillo missionaries in the annual Christmas program the mission puts on each year in Trujillo. I will have to ask Alex why he is making such a funny face in these pics!!
